ALSAGER staged a superb late show against Colne on Saturday when they turned defeat into victory in the space of a memorable 10 minutes.
Alsager were heading for defeat in their home League Cup clash after going behind to a 23rd minute goal.
However an 80th minute equaliser set up a storming finish by Alsager, who scored twice more to run out 3-1 winners.
Colne took the lead in the preliminary round match after being awarded a free kick wide on the left, 35 yards out.
The ball was floated into the box, where another Colne player headed over the Alsager keeper.
Alsager narrowly failed to draw level two minutes before the break when striker Gareth Rowe headed just over.
Midfielder Kenny Lawton also went close, when he saw his 25-yard free kick deflected wide of the post four minutes into the second half.
Alsager equalised in the 80th minute when Lawton found defender Ian Camm with a through ball, and Camm curled a shot into the top corner for the goal of the game.
Alsager went 2-1 up two minutes later when Rowe scrambled the ball into the net, and he grabbed his second and his side's third in the final minute when he raced clear and shot wide of the keeper.
