CREWE'S trip to Tottenham in the third round of the Worthington Cup ended in defeat but the Alex won in the financial stakes.
A crowd of more than 25,000 turned out for the match at White Hart Lane and that should equal a nice six figure sum in the kitty.
The Alex's supporters did their side proud with nearly 700 making the long trip despite high admission prices.
