NANTWICH and District Royal British Legion will be holding its Remembrance Parade and Service on Sunday November 14.
The parade will assemble outside the Civic Hall at 2.25pm moving off at 2.45pm for the service at St Mary's at 3pm.
After the church service the congregation moves to the Cenotaph on the Town Square for the Act of Remembrance and wreath laying.
The anniversary of Armistice Day, November 11, falls on a Thursday this year and members will gather at the Cenotaph at 11am for two minutes silence.
A spokesman said: "We hope that many people will join in this Act of Remembrance wherever they happen to be and for two minutes remember the servicemen and women who lost their lives in the wars."
Collections for the Poppy Appeal will be made at Safeway and Sainsbury between November 8 and 14. If you would like to help please contact Appeal organiser Jim Rollins on 626742.
