A NEW service has been set up by Age Concern Cheshire to keep an eye on isolated older people during the worst months of winter.
The short term service will run on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons between 1pm and 3pm in December, January and February.
It will be run as a phone link service from Age Concern in Nantwich where volunteers will ring up for a chat to make sure older residents are alright, particularly after a spell of bad weather.
If you would like to help and can give up some of your time once a week, fortnight or even month, please call Linda Bennett at Age Concern on 582702 or call in to the Nantwich office in Beam Street.
