A SPECTACULAR evening of entertainment hits the stage next weekend with a rising star and friend of singing sensation Robbie Williams.
Singer Jonathan Wilkes will join the very best of local talent in A Musical Extravaganza at the Lyceum Theatre in Crewe.
The event, organised by fund-raiser Irene Edwards, is on Sunday October 31 in aid of the Cancer Appeal Christie Hospital.
Jonathan, aged 21, currently hosts his own TV show for BBC Choice called HYPE which has seen him travelling the world interviewing celebrities.
He is a life long friend of Potteries star Robbie Williams and is currently writing and recording material with him for his own debut album.
He will be doing a lap of the UK this month as host for the Sugar Magazine/Maybelline New Model Roadshow visiting 15 towns and selecting the new face of the magazine for 2000.
"We are very lucky to get Jonathan as his career is really taking off," said Irene.
Master of ceremonies for the night will be Graham Wilkes, Jonathan's dad, and new boyband, Toyzone, has been set up specially for the event with five local lads picked to take part
The band is made up of, back left to right, Ryan Chawner, aged 18, Peter Robinson, aged 20, Adrian Mascati, aged 20, Dean Gray, aged 25, seated, Andy Morrell, aged 25. Dean will also be performing a solo spot in the show.
Irene has raised thousands of pounds for charity and is hoping local people will turn out to support the event.
Tickets are £8.50, £7.50 and £6.50 with concessions available and can be bought from the theatre box office on 537333.
