WHAT are Greenalls trying to do to Warrington's bowling fraternity? They are selling off seven pubs with greens and bowlers are being asked to take over the keeping of the greens at a cost of £5,000 a year or to maintain them themselves.
The seven clubs' members had a meeting at Walker's Club and everyone is overwhelmingly against the Greenalls' decision. How do they expect pensioners and youngsters to find the cash or do it themselves? Come on Greenalls, have a heart. Surely we bowlers have bought enough beer from you over the years - the greens must have paid for themselves over and over.
