GRAPPENHALL Dart League champions GTLB had to pull out all the stops to beat GYCA 5-4.
GYCA took a 3-1 lead but after some wayward throwing the scores reached 4-4 and Albert Cunningham won the last game in 21 darts for GTLB to win the match.
London Bridge threw away a chance to be 4-1 up at half-time and instead were 3-2 down at the break. G. Hill and Dave Eyres finished off the job despite P. Nolan's win for Bridge.
GTLA lost to Star 5-4. G. Smith, 13 and C. Stait, 19, were best for GTLA. Paul Oxley was the best for Star in 15 darts.
Greenalls' 7-2 victory over Mul was easy after taking a 5-0 lead with good darts from M. Bonner, 18, R. Hepper, 19 and J. Lee, 22.
Barn Owl beat ESMB 8-1. Ray Stoll hit a 25-darter, Stuart Welsh, 13, Don Welsh, 15 and Steve Perone, 19, all helped the cause. Brian Lafferty won in 33 for ESMB.
Manor lost 7-2 to Ly. Legion. R. Sherratt shot a 26-dart win but T. Arnold, 23 and T. McKeswick, 24, won for Legion.
Golden Lion beat Fleece 6-3. Best for Lion were G. Noon, nine, D. Williams Snr, 19 and B. Heaton, 18. Top marksmen for Fleece were R. Lee, 20, R. Lang, 26 and F. Fluett, 26.
ESMA had a shock when Farmers went into a 3-0 lead at ESMA. J. Daniels won for Farmers before D. Kerfoot, 22 and B. Stoll, 21, did the damage. ESMA hit back hard by winning the next six games.
T. Horan and K. Jones, 14, W. Bate, 19, J. S. Brown, 22, S. Mooney, 24 and E. Clarke, 25, helped to keep ESMA top of the league.
