DETECTIVES are hunting three thugs who subjected a lone man to a serious attack near to Winwick Quay.
The 33-year-old victim was walking past LA Bowl, at Chetham Court, when he was approached by the trio.
One demanded the man's wristwatch - and when he refused, he was slashed across his front with a mystery implement.
The victim was left with a slash mark across his cheek and a scratch across his chest and received treatment for his injuries at Warrington Hospital.
Police say they are not sure if the weapon used was a knife or another kind of blade.
Witnesses are being sought to the attack on October 16 at around 1am.
The chief suspect is aged around 22, with short blond hair with a centre-parting. He was wearing a dark sweatshirt and jeans and spoke with a Warrington accent.
He walked off with the two other men, also thought to be aged around 22, with short dark hair, towards Callands.
