AS the clock passes midnight and the year 2000 dawns, one person in Warrington will bring in the new year knowing that he or she is a very special person.... the town's Millennium Personality.
Today, the Warrington GUARDIAN is launching a competition to find that person, with your help.
We would like your nominations for this historic title.
We want to hear about men and women who have made a difference in the community, in their homes, companies, schools, churches, organisations or neighbourhood, or they may have battled with illnesses or other difficulties and still managed to keep smiling.
There are no restrictions on who can be nominated. They just have to be very special people worthy of the title.
We need you to write and tell us about the people you wish to nominate.
Please provide the person's name, address and telephone number, along with some information about why you are sending in the nomination, and your own name, address and telephone number.
The winner will receive a Millennium Personality trophy, a truly unique award.
Send your entries to Millennium Personality, Pat Gill Bolton, Warrington GUARDIAN, The Academy, Bridge Street, Warrington, Cheshire WA1 2RU by November 30, 1999. The usual GUARDIAN competition rules apply, published elsewhere in this issue.
