THE wife of former Warrington MP Thomas Williams has died peacefully at the age of 81.
Lady Gwyneth Williams, widow of His Honour Judge Sir Thomas Williams, passed away at her London home, it has been announced.
The MP's wife will be remembered by her many friends in Warrington, including former Mayor and Mayoress Clrs Harold and Ivy Edwards.
Lady Gwyneth also recalled her time in Warrington with a great deal of fondness, according to son David.
Her husband was the town's representative in the House of Commons from 1961 to 1981, serving as a Parliamentary Private Secretary to three Ministers before his appointment to the bench.
She also leaves a daughter, Sian, and grandchildren Caroline, Edward, Rachel and Thomas.
The funeral service was held at St Stephen's Church in South Dulwich, in London. Cards of condolence can be sent to 1 Wicker Oak, Dulwich, Wood Park, London, SE19 1CJ.
