A CYCLIST wants to thank a stranger who saved his life.
Frank Bailey was almost killed when his bike frame snapped on Northwich's busy Station Road.
But a stranger came to his rescue - getting out of a car and pulling Frank away from the traffic.
"There's no doubt that this stranger saved my life," said Frank.
"I can't thank him enough. If only there were more people like him, the world would be a better place."
The accident happened on Wednesday October 13.
The stranger drove to Frank's daughter's house and made sure he was feeling alright.
Frank, of Vicarage Road, said that he feared for his life until the man helped him.
"If a car had been speeding that would have been it," he said.
"Whoever this man was, I am very grateful to him. I was very, very lucky indeed."
Frank added: "I only suffered a few cuts and bruises down my arm and leg. One of the first things I did after the accident was to buy a new bike. The forks had broken on my old one, that's what caused it to snap."
