I WAS interested to read your article on page three which referred to the meeting this evening (October 20) at Sandiway Primary School.

I went to the school to attend the meeting and was surprised to find a sign reading Private Meeting No Access to the General Public on the door.

I am sure you will agree that the information which may or may not have been divulged at the meeting will be of interest to all residents of Sandiway and Cuddington and should not be confined solely to members of the action group.

My wife and I were concerned at the last public meeting, that by electing an action group Vale Royal Borough Council and the developers would be able to contain the information to a small group. Whilst I accept that there should be a representative body to make communications and discussions simpler I feel strongly that the meetings between the action group and VRBC/developers should be held in open forum and not in camera.

I would urge the Guardian to report fully the proceedings of the closed meeting in next week's edition.
