I AM writing because I am absolutely fed up of London Road residents complaining about the traffic.
It seems to me that they are being quite selfish.
We live on the Kingsmead Estate and are not local people and were never informed that the spine road would be the major route into Northwich, until we had signed contracts and purchased our new home.
Since the diversion of traffic onto the spine road we have been subjected to extreme noise and pollution problems day and night, from the heavy traffic driving through Kingsmead.
We have also experienced problems with noise caused by boy racers using the spine road as a racing track late at night.
We have also had problems crossing the road, due to the sheer volume of traffic, not only due to the fact that the road is very wide but also there are no pedestrian crossings.
We have driven down London Road various times of the day and have found the traffic to be scarce, due to the bulk of it now travelling through the heart of the Kingsmead estate.
The residents of London Road should be grateful for the peace they have got and stop complaining and spare a thought for the Kingsmead Residents!
