I COULDN'T help smiling at your article about Vale Royal Borough Council admitting to learning a valuable lesson from the loss of the appeal against Eagle Properties over the Castle Street site.
Clr Dalby is quoted as saying: "This has probably made us view the vision plan in a way that's more concrete...".
More concrete just about sums it up.
Hands up those who would prefer a garden and some facilities for the young people of the town.
Also, while I'm on the subject of the river, a wasted asset to the town in my view, the siting of pylons on the part of the river by Marks and Spencer has not improved that area.
I know that taking the electricity underground is more expensive, but if we want to improve Northwich, and heaven knows it could do with it, we have to pay for the improvement.
I sometimes wonder whether VRBC is seeing the vision from inside a brown paper bag.
