CREWE and Nantwich hit rock bottom on Saturday as Wirral romped home 43 - 7.
All of Wirral's five tries came from Crewe errors and the home side did not need to construct a decent move all afternoon as they capitalised on a mixture of bad tackling, failure to fall on the loose ball and losing possetion in the tackle.
The five along with a penalty goal put Wirral beyond reach by the end of the first half.
Crewe tightened up in the second half and scored the best try of the afternoon with a great move finished off by winger Martin Pemberton before Wirral replied for another seven points.
With such an improved showing in the second half, Crewe were left wondering why they didn't show the same commitment in the first half.
