PRIMARY school kitchen staff have been celebrating their success in scooping a top award for their catering skills.
Staff at Shavington Primary School received the award for being Cheshire's Catering Team of the Year.
They were nominated by headteacher Andrew warren and received a cup and commemorative plaque at an award ceremony in Chester.
Mr Warren said: "They are extremely efficient and obviously enjoy the job. They are willing to experiment with new ideas to improve the service and increase variety.
"They are very child-centred and demonstrate excellent team spirit even when under pressure. In short they are a first-class advertisement for Cheshire school meals. As headteacher I could not ask for a more cheerful and dedicated team."
