FULL marks to determined Wolves chief Peter Deakin.

The boss of the bubbling Super League club rolled his sleeves up and got on with the job of telephoning homes this week to spread the word on the Wolves.

He said on Wednesday: "I lead from the front. I've spoken to a few dozen people this week and two of them just wouldn't believe that I was on the phone.

"They were saying that no-one from the club had phoned them before and they thought it was great. We're just trying to set up good customer relations."

Deakin was one voice of a tele-marketing team reminding fans that the season ticket 'early bird' offer, including 'free shirt' packages, comes to an end this Sunday.

The club are overjoyed about their season ticket sales.

Deakin said: "We've surpassed expectations and we're particularly delighted with the number of new season ticket holders.

"But I won't be happy until we've sold every seat in the stand and that is my goal."

The town is certainly buzzing about the expectations of the team next year, specially on the back of signing three of the biggest names in the world game, Allan Langer, Andrew Gee and Tawera Nikau.

The Wolves are expecting a further rush on season ticket sales this weekend with fans making sure they do not miss out on the 'free shirt' offer.

Therefore the shop hours at the club's Wilderspool Stadium ground have been extended and it will be open from 9am to 5pm tomorrow, Saturday and then from 10am to 4pm on Sunday.

Huddersfield-Sheffield have offered Warrington two players in exchange for centre Jon Roper but it has been turned down with the response 'Make us an offer that we can't refuse!'

The Wolves squad begin pre-season training today, Friday.
