Garswood Utd 2
Middlewich Town 0
Green Mid Cheshire One

MIDDLEWICH went to second-placed Garswood aiming to overtake them in the league, but two costly errors saw them go away empty-handed.
Middlewich started very brightly with Chris Melia putting Jason Jones through on goal, but he was denied by a fine stop by the Garswood goalkeeper.
Jones again went through on a one-on-one with the keeper and only another good save stopped Town from taking the lead.
With five enforced changes in the Middlewich line-up, they weren't playing their normal flowing football and were caught playing a one-two on the edge of their own penalty area. Ottar chipped Walton to put the home side one up at the interval.
The second period produced another two changes for Town, Gareth Langley and Tim Pole replacing Brian Nicholson and Lee Steen.
Middlewich started the half the much more positive side with Melia and Langley both going close.
Town were pressing Garswood back for long periods, but could not find the crucial breakthrough.
As the clock counted down, Middlewich brought on Alan Woan to bolster a five-man attack.
But a long clearance from United's defence caught Town on the back foot, and Steve Moss directed his headed clearance inadvertently into the path of Ottar to score Garswood's second.
