A WINSFORD footpath may be added to the definitive map of Rights of Way, giving the public a legal right to use it.

The footpath runs from Lodge Drive to Station Road and will be added to the definitive map if it is diverted in line with a planning application from Cliff Dickenson and Son.

The proposed diversion will affect land owned by Vale Royal Borough Council which has given its consent.

At a meeting of the Cheshire County Council Rights of Way Special Sub-Committee on Monday morning, November 1, it was recommended that the application be approved provided there are no objections raised.
