STEWART Colclough, of Pockets D, notched an impressive break of 83 - the highest of the season so far in the Mid Cheshire Snooker League - as his team beat Castle A 6-1.
The win allowed Pockets D to close the gap on Premier Division leaders United Services A, who slumped to a shock 6-1 defeat at Cygnet C.
Castle B remain at the foot of the table after a 6-1 defeat at Gladstone A.
Division One leaders Pockets C were convincing 6-1 winners against Hartford A, while second-placed Bisto B had a narrow 4-3 success against Fisons A.
In Division Two, United Services D and Winnington Park A are locked together on 40 points after their wins against Rudheath A and Knutsford Private B respectively.
Leaders Cygnet A suffered a 5-2 defeat at Winnington Park B in Division Three. Fisons B and Castle C recorded wins over Hartford B and Winnington Park D respectively to leave them just a point behind the table-toppers.
