MEMBERS of the Cheshire Penguins disabled swimming team celebrated another successful year at their annual presentation evening last week.
The swimmers, based at Sir John Deane's College pool, held the awards ceremony at the RAOB Club in Northwich.
Winners were: Team Spirit - Tommy Abrams, Aden Walker, Susan Hammond, Suzie Blower, Robert Herring; Trying Hard - David Allan, Peter Edwards, Geoff Broad; Overall Stroke Improvement - Christian Ducharme, Alan Price, Ian Bentley, Barry Knowles, Jonathan Oswell; Effort - Tanyth Jones, Barbara Hewitt, Les Williams, David Clare, John Much, John Wainwright.
One Length Special Award - George Howarth, Joanne Smith, Steve Davenport; Youth Millennium Games - Michelle Bennett, Tracy Walker, Sean Daniels, Sarah James; Captains - Emma Calvert, Richard Perris; Anne Calvert Cup - Carol Reilly; Mrs Whalley Cup - Simone Matthews; Club Helper - Cyril Whalley.
