YOUTH workers in Northwich have proved they are streets ahead when it comes to getting out into the community.
They will be in the villages over the next few months meeting youngsters who congregate outside.
The project, which is being managed by youth worker Andrew Taylor, will be targeted at teenagers between 13 and 19.
Andrew said: "We will be doing street work. This will involve social education on things like drugs and alcohol.
"We are hoping to build up a friendship with young people.
"But it is vital that people know who we are."
Andrew and his colleagues will be working in the following places:
Weaverham - Monday and Thursdays: Dave Edwards and Kay Wilson.
Delamere Park, Kingsley, Crowton and Norley - Wednesday and Thursdays: Andrew Taylor, Tom Corteen, Neil Wardell.
Barnton, Leftwich and Castle - Tuesday and Thursday nights: Andrew Taylor, Neil Wardell and Maria Taylor.
