EGERTON continued their winning ways in the league with a convincing victory over Hayes, at Mereheath Lane.
In muddy conditions the home side took the lead 20 minutes into the first half.
A sweeping move involving Jamie Wright, Nathan Barratt and Tom Addison set Ben Dixon on a run at goal.
His first shot was blocked by the keeper, but Dixon made sure with a fine strike off the rebound.
Clive Hampshire's persistence and strong running saw him increase Egerton's lead before half time.
Matthew Hayes and Robert Evans played their part in an impressive second half that Egerton dominated with some excellent passing and movement.
There were two brave saves from Lewis Davies at the feet of the Hayes' forwards and a series of runs and fine crosses from the left foot of Mike Warrington.
Hampshire saw two goal-bound efforts saved by the keeper, but drew just reward with a cool strike 10 minutes from time in this absorbing game.
