RAILWAY Latchford's unbeaten label in Greenall and Inn Partnership Dominoes League was taken off them on their own table by Alford Sports whose middle order were in superb form.
Hawthorne were held to another draw, their third in succession by Orford A, and it must surely only be a matter of time before some notable heads start to roll down Orford Lane.
Roy Keates and Alan Bennett won the last for Rylands A at home to Con Keys but the home side were jittery in mid-order and nearly let a good start slip.
The highlight in Division Two was the last legs performance of Marquis pair, John Lawton and Trevor Rabbitt, who not only won the match against Richmonds but made Richmonds heartily sick of the sight of sevens.
Eagle Sports were held to a draw by Tetley but deserve full credit for squaring things from 1-5 down.
In Division Three, Golden Lion are the pace setters after a good win at Warrington Transport which was in the bag at the interval.
Padgate St. Oswalds A were held to a draw by Rose Inn but are in contention with a long way to go, a similar position to that of Royal Oak Branch who won at Sloop despite a second half fade away.
Stag Inn could not come to terms with the conditions at Warrington Cons B and allowed their title chase to stall after having had a 4-0 lead at one stage.
All teams are reminded they must have a delegate in attendance at the meeting on Wednesday at 8.15pm in Hawthorne. All outstanding charity match proceeds and donations from non-entrant teams must be cleared at this meeting without fail.
