Leigh 3 Warrington...75
IN a late re-arranged fixture Warrington continued in their rich vein of high scoring with an emphatic win.
They have now scored 360 points in their last four games but stiffer league opposition looms over the next few weeks.
Caldy 18 Warrington 2nd...7
WARRINGTON Seconds were beaten for the first time this season by an experienced Caldy side.
Caldy took advantage of the miserable first half conditions to score a try and two penalties.
The visitors replied with a well-worked try from a lineout, scored by Greenwood and converted by McDermott, but after the break Warrington were confined to their own half and conceded an inevitable second try late on.
Moore 2nd 13 Ormskirk...15
DESPITE starting the match a player short Moore Seconds gave a good account of themselves in both open and tight play.
They deserved to be in front 3-0 at half-time through an Ian Bradbury penalty but from the re-start Ormskirk made good use of the extra man and took the lead with a penalty and a converted try.
Moore were reduced to 13 men through injury and Ormskirk were quick to capitalise with another try. Ian Bradbury struck another penalty and Mark Digman broke through the Ormskirk defence for a try but Ormskirk held out to the final whistle.
Moore 3rd 14 Ormskirk 3rd...31
THE final score disguises how closely contested this game actually was as Hallsworth brothers Phil and Tony were once again inspirational figures in the Moore attack.
Each grabbed a try and Cliff Price kicked both conversions.
Eagle RUFC 2nd 7 Toc H 1st...19
EAGLE seconds raised their game and matched their rivals for large parts of the match but lacked their opponents' killer touch.
Their five-pointer coming from McCallister. Best for Eagle were Bridge, Woodall and Heatley.
