CRICKETING legend Ian Botham took a walk "all rounder" Warrington as part of his latest fundraising venture.
The celebrated batsman and bowler travelled through the town on his way from John O' Groats to Land's End.
This will be Beefy's final walk - he reckons the traffic has increased so much in the past 14 years that it is no longer a viable proposition.
It is the eighth time he has attempted the marathon trek, which takes five weeks. He has raised £3.3million for leukaemia research since he started doing it in 1985.
The crowds turned out to cheer on the former Question of Sport star as he travelled at 4.5mph along Mersey Street and Farrell Street, before leaving the town again through London Road, Stockton Heath.
