GENEROUS donations and help from groups and volunteers have improved the therapy garden for patients at Leighton Hospital.
A whole host of extra facilities have been supplied including a solar potting shed, raised flower beds, trellis and paving.
The materials have been bought with £1,000 raised by members of mid and south Cheshire Masonic Lodges, Leighton Hospital League of Friends, the Stroke Association Family Support Group and Sandbach Lions.
Phase one of the garden, next to the hospital's Stroke Unit, was opened two years following the completion of a project by Prince's Trust Volunteers.
The second phase continues the aim of providing a variety of garden activities to stimulate the senses, increase mobility and encourage normal movement.
