WESTON CC picked up the morale-boosting victory they needed at Sandyford on Saturday.
Debutant Steve Crowe (2-10) and Brian Gessner (4-32) impressed as they restricted the struggling home side to a healthy 184 for 8.
Weston opener Ian Allcock (30) set the tempo for a positive reply and his removal brought together Billy Strong and pro Gareth Lello.
With 29 overs to reach their target they didn't hold back and a magnificent unbroken partnership of 139 saw them home in the final over.
Lello (81no) and Strong (51no) earned their side a valuable 20 points from Sandyford's 5, and put Weston into a more respectable mid-table position.
Weston are at home to Hanford this Saturday.
