DEADLY bowling from Nilesh Kulkarni earned Crewe CC a comprehensive nine wicket victory at Norton on Saturday.
The popular Indian spinner weaved his magic to pick up sensational figures of 6 for 7 off 15.5 overs including 10 maidens.
Norton found it impossible to score off him and were soon in trouble at 13 for 3.
Only professional Ali Shah (27) provided any resistance as they were dismissed for just 67.
Pace man Matt Dawson provided good support taking 3 for 37.
Crewe's openers Walton and Boyle soon dispelled any fears of demons in the pitch and smashed a partnership of 64 in 13 overs before Boyle was caught for 22 attempting the winning hit.
Walton continued a fine season to notch an unbeaten 42.
Crewe took 20 points from the encounter with Norton, who took none, and that stretches their lead at the league summit to an impressive 18 points.
They face the derby against Haslington this Saturday and take on Crewe Alexandra in a prestigious friendly, tonight at their home ground, start 6.15pm.
