THE Alex ended their pre-season in fine style with a convincing victory at Leek on Monday night.
Mainly a second-string side, Crewe put on a good performance to maintain an unbeaten warm-up programme.
Colin Cramb continued his personal reminder that he is still to be considered in the best way possible with a fine performance.
The Scot opened the scoring on 13 minutes and set up the remainder with Grant doubling the lead on 24 minutes and Tait adding further goals three minutes later and on the hour mark.
Crewe: Welsby, McCready, Foster, Walker, Charles, Collins, Trainer, Grant (Morris), Tait, Cramb (Howell), Little (P Smith). Subs not used: Liddle, Swiggs.
