MOND kick-off their new league campaign this Saturday away to Capenhurst in confident mood.
For Rod Luker's men recorded a convincing 4-2 victory over Hanley Town from Stoke lAst weekend.
Ian Walsh got the Runcorn side off to a great start from the penalty spot and Stuart Hide madec it 2-0 just before half-time.
From the restart Kev WArd scored a third before Mond took their foot off the pedal and allowed Hanley to pull two goals back.
But Richard Flaherty ensured Mond's victory with a header and their scoreline could have been increased with cWalsh, Worthington and Gibbons all going close.
Their two previous friendslies against Altrincham and Barnton ended in a 2-o defeat and a 2-2 draw respectively.
The Reserves also won at Greenalls 3-1. Two goals from David Whitfield and one from Kevin Hammond ensured victory with Greenalls scoring a consolation late on.
The Reserves kick-off their Division Three campaign on saturday at Pavilions when they play host to Newton. The game has been sponsored by Doherty Polar Ford.
There is a Motown and Northern Soul Night at Pavilions on Friday, September 1. Starting 8pm til late, tickets are £3 and money raised from the night will go to the football teams.
