HAIR extensions are one of the fastest ways to achieve an instant new look.

They have caught on recently with stars such as Mel C, Madonna and Geri Halliwell who regularly have extensions.

Today, Isis Hair and Beauty Company, Bridge Street, Warrington, is providing two of our readers with the chance to have their hair extended, to whatever length they wish. Each extension is worth up to £450. They will go to the senders of the first two applications opened, and everybody who writes in will receive a £20 voucher for full head hair extensions from Isis.

The salon works with Racoon International Hair Extension Company, which operates in 15 countries and was set up seven years ago.

Isis are regional trainers for Racoon, training other salons to apply the extensions. The salon's demonstrators appeared at the Wembley Hair Show in May and will be there again in October.

Kathryn Davenport, manager, said that hair extensions were extremely popular, with about eight full heads a week being done at the salon.

Extensions can be used to increase length, thicken thin hair, add streaks and highlights or add brightly coloured fun streaks. The streaks are the latest fashion accessory for young people and cost only £2 each.

Any hair can be extended as long as it is more than three inches on top.

Isis uses human hair, which starts at £180, or monofiber, which is on offer at the moment for £120 for a full head.

The salon, which has been open since l997, was awarded five star status by the Good Salon Guide. It is managed by Kathryn, along with Christopher Birchall, and also has a beauty therapy department called Body and Soul.

If you would like to apply for the offer, please write to Isis Hair Extension Offer, Warrington GUARDIAN, 19, Europa Boulevard, Gemini Business Park, Warrington WA5 5TP, by August 17, 2000. If you do not wish to receive the free voucher from Isis, please tick this box._
