DISABLED employee Greg Bate has helped win a top place for his firm in an annual award.
Greg works for FE Mottram in Congleton, which was placed in the top 20 out of the 538 employers who entered the Leading the Way competition.
The award is handed out in recognition of the efforts of those firms which have shown a commitment to employing disabled people.
The government is keen to increase opportunities at work for the disabled, and the award is run by Remploy, the UK's biggest employer of severely disabled people.
Mottram's was nominated by Greg and Cheshire County Council's Supported Employment Service.
"The firm has been very supportive to me and other disabled people, and I feel valued and respected as a worker," said Greg, who works as a yard person.
