THREE members of the Winsford congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses have found a new way of spreading the word - they've learnt sign language.

Amanda MacNeill, Joanna Dunning and Gwyn Wilson have passed their Level 1 British Sign Language exams at Mid-Cheshire College, and now plan to progress to level two.

The congregation's Cameron MacNeill said: "This will give the deaf in Winsford the same opportunities as the hearing population to discuss scriptural topics and attend bible-based congregation services."

The Jehovah's Witnesses meet on Sundays at 10am and Thursdays at 7.10pm, at Kingdom Hall on Siddorn Street.
