AN application has been made for planning permission to increase quarrying operations at a Biddulph Quarry.
The proposals have been lodged by Biddulph Sand Ltd and would, if they are given the green light, allow the company to quarry an extra 80,000 tonnes of Silcia sand.
The company wants to quarry to a depth of 15 metres and also extend the landscaping of the frontage near to the proposed site.
The application is to be considered at a meeting of Staffordshire County Council's Planning Committee.
