A DOUBLE celebration was held for the Greenleaves support group in Congleton this week.
An Open Day to mark the Millennium was combined with a bid to promote the County Council's Mental Health Support Service.
It was held at the group's base, the Cricket Club where there is a get together every Wednesday.
The group offers day care and support to people with mental health problems and it also has other bases in Alsager, Sandbach and Middlewich.
Team Leader, Chris Emery, emphasised that Greenleaves felt it was important for people involved to be independent, with back-up provided by the organisation.
Chair of the County Council, Cllr David Newton, officially opened the event.
Pictured enjoying the day at Greenleaves is (L-R), Greenleaves' Treasurer, Janet Kennerley, Chris Emery, Cllr David Newton and centre member Peter Cullington.
