I HAVE a view of this argument from both sides, I am a member of the historical society and an artist.
I have high hopes of the town's new arts centre, and think it has the potential to revive what is a slowly decaying part of the town centre, and become a cultural magnet! And let's face the fact that the gardens at present are quite shabby and poorly maintained.
I hope if the changes go ahead, the council will maintain the gardens to a high standard, to which we might be proud.
