GEORGE McCormick hit a 10 darter to inspire Corner House to an easy win at Marquis in Friday's Summer Darts League.

In Gas Social's easy win at Cheshire Cheese W. O' Neill hit a 15-darter.

New Alliance A came out on top in a hard game at Red Lion by taking the last three legs.

New Alliance B could not maintain an excellent start against Imperial and were beaten by the odd game in nine.

The same margin was enough for Richmonds to beat Hawthorne with 13s from K. P. Reynolds and A. Cunningham giving them the edge. Fred Deakin hit a 15 for the losers.

Corner House had a superb win in Monday's programme when they just edged New Alliance A by coming back from 2-4 to win with George McCormick again on top form with a 10-darter, but well backed up by 16 from Peter Vernon.

Eddie Beddall's 16 was the best Alliance could manage.

Dog and Partridge were pushed all the way by Prince of Wales and the last two legs for Spa Brook were enough to gain them a draw from their visit to Penketh S&S.

George Crockett's 12-darter for Poplars was the feature of their win over Butchers Arms.

In Division Two New Alliance B played two matches against Warrington Town to catch up their commitments.

Joe Tart's 12-darter for Town was the best in either match, both won by Town.

Mark Higgin, with 14, was best for Farmers Arms at home to Penketh Cons, but a fine all round performance by Penketh saw them run out winners with Mike Wildridge, 14 and Jason Jones, 17, their best.

Tom Ferns hit 15 as Brickmakers won at Kings Head but St. Benedicts could count themselves a shade lucky to win their entertaining match with Penny Ferry and they had the last two winners to thank for the points.

Another splendid advertisement for the sporting way matches should be played saw Causeway and Adelphi share the spoils.

K. Vero, with 14, was best for Adelphi and Ian Wharton, 15, the best for Causeway.

Poacher carried out their romp towards the title by beating The Maltings with some panache.
