KING and Queen A defeated Touchers A 14-0 to stay top of Section A in the Warrington and North Cheshire Bowls Association Friday League.

John Bradshaw and Lionel Roughley both won 21-9.

Rylands A remained second. Their 13-1 win over Tetley A included wins from Bill Burlinson, 21-2 and Rob Wightman, 21-4.

Grange A remained in third spot following the 11-4 win at Richmonds A. Peter Rowles and Mal Cook shared the sweep with 21-11 wins. Cliff Badley was the top home winner, 21-7.

John Geraghty won 21-5 for GESM A in the 9-5 success over Farmers A. D. Sutcliffe and Alan Burrows both won 21-11 for the visitors.

John Garratt, 21-5 and Jimmy Ure, 21-9, were Alford A's top winners in the 10-4 victory over St. Oswalds A. Ray Nevin's 21-3 was the best reply.

Section D leaders S. Oswalds B defeated Saracens B 11-3. D. Searle won the sweep with a 21-11 card and T. Taylor replied with a similar card for the visitors.

Second-placed British Rail were beaten 10-5 at home by Transport A. B. Sutcliffe was the top winner, 21-11. Roy Ward took Rail's sweep 21-9.

J. O'Neil, 21-4 and Jackie Maher, 21-6, were Woolston B's top winners in the 10-4 success over Post Office. J. Oakes' 21-8 card was the postmen's best.

Tetley B's 11-3 win over Red Lion B included F. Bates' 21-8 sweep winner. Neil Taylor replied with a 21-10 card for the visitors.

There is a tie at the top of Section E between Crosfields A and Fiddlers Ferry. Crosfields won 9-6 at Monk Sports B, while Fiddlers won by the same margin at Orford WM. A. Burtham, 21-7 and H. Pickering, 21-9, were the top winners. D. Rustage replied with a 21-4 card.

Brooklands B moved into contention after a 14-1 win at Bank Quay. Dennis Burke, 21-6 and W. Linaker, 21-7, were the top winners.

Alford B, the leaders in Section F, won 10-5 at Tetley C to maintain their lead. M. Clayton's 21-12 card was the best of the night.

Second-placed St. Josephs won 9-6 at Eagle B. Anchorman G. Winstanley succeeded 21-1.
