I WOULD like to thank the fans for the 20 seasons' service and loyalty that they have given me.

I've had my ups and downs with them but they have treated me brilliantly. Hopefully they will stay with me and support me through my Testimonial year.

I never regret staying with the club for 20 seasons. I had the chance to go to other places but for various reasons it never transpired. If I had gone to Salford, Workington or Halifax, who were interested in me most recently, I think I would have been out of Rugby League two or three years ago. So it was the right decision to stick with Warrington.

I will be looking for another contract when my current one finishes and then I feel that will be it, as I will be nearly 37.

Ambitions

I would like to finish on a high. I am quite happy with what I have done to date, as I have played in all major finals.

Winning the league with Warrington and finishing my international career at Old Trafford on November 25 in the World Cup final with Ireland are my remaining ambitions.

I would like to do something with the club after I finish my playing career. I don't think they can say 'that's it' after 20 years. Whether it's being involved with coaching, the backroom staff or retail, I don't mind so long as I can stay involved with Warrington Rugby League in some way.

The injuries that have kept me sidelined are now fine. I've had the all-clear from the specialist and have made two appearances for the Alliance side in the past week.

Sowing

I'm not good at watching and I am even more hungry to play after having the rest through a broken arm. I want to get straight back into the first team and will be aiming at keeping the wing jersey when I get it.

As a team we have had our ups and downs throughout the year but we're now playing extremely well.

We are sowing the seeds and setting the standards for a succesful season next year and one in which I think we can win the title.

On the local rugby scene my two sons play for Rylands but neither of them are wingers. At Rylands I never come between the players and the coach but I offer advice, if asked, and help with fund-raising but I tend to take a backwards seat.

However, I do tell the lads what they've done wrong in the games. It would be nice for one of them to put the primrose and blue jersey on a few times and follow in my footsteps somewhere down the line.
