ALLAN Langer has revealed the embarrassment factor is keeping Warrington Wolves' season alive.

Some fans felt that the Wolves' season was over when the team fell disastrously at home to Huddersfield-Sheffield Giants on July 23.

But the Wolves have put their most consistent spell of form together since then with wins over Castleford Tigers, Salford City Reds and Hull FC.

Langer said after Sunday's win: "All the players' attitudes have changed a little bit and the players have more pride in themselves.

"Everyone was getting a bit embarrassed with the way we were travelling.

"If a player and team feels that way the only way to get out is to dig yourselves out and that is what the team is doing at the moment."

Alf, man of the match against Hull, said the spirit is back in the Wolves camp.

He added: "We have aimed to finish the season off with pride and over the last few weeks it has been a happy squad to be around. There's nothing better than a happy dressing room.

"The changes on the faces in the dressing room has brought the familiar sight I have been used to and it is just great to be around the place and at times I don't miss home as much.

"There's plenty more enthusiasm to come and with five games to go anything can happen.

"So we've got to finish off the best we can and hopefully it will give us a good start for next season."
