A R'CKING good time was had by all at the Farmers Arms music festival on Saturday with hundreds turning up for the free entertainment.
Landlord Max Bacon, who organised the event, was delighted with the day. He said: It was an excellent turn out and a great day. The sun was shining, people were sitting on the bowling green, the bands were great and everyone was happy.
The day was also a success charity wise, as a total of £250 was donated, which will go to St Lukes Hospice.
Max himself took the stage with his ten-piece soul band Pick Up The Pieces, backed up by Stroller, who were OeMad For It for a day, Alex Johnson, Drive North West, Usual Suspects and last but not least Genie, who rounded off the extravaganza.
The event was such a success that Max wants to hold two festivals next year.
He said: I would like to do two a year, one in late summer and one in early summer.
