STAN Frith bounced back to form on Monday night by winning the Cowley Cup.
The 'wley Wood man won the trophy for the first time since 1979 by beating Lostocks Nigel Faulkner, the 1983 champion, 21-10 in the final at Farmers Arms, Rudheath.
Frith began the night with a 21-12 win over Beech Trees Dave Rutter, and continued his dominance with a 21-16 victory over another Lostock bowler, Paul Mackie in the semi-final.
Frith, pictured below during Monday nights success, received his cup and prize money from Max Bacon, the pubs manager and competition sponsor.
The next Mid-Cheshire Bowling Association final is this Monday, August 21, the Barber (Honda) Pogsons Pairs, at the Beech Tree, Barnton.
