THE Runcorn Widnes bridge does have a name!
Halton Council has asked us to point out that it was officilly christened The Silver Jubilee Bridge in 1977.
The clarification follows a letter published in The World last week in which a reader was campaigning for our bridge to be named.
It was renamed after being widened during the Queen's silver jubilee year.
