KNYPERSLEY Vics went down 5-1 at Oadby Town on Saturday on the back of a 4-3 midweek win at home to Sandwell Borough.

The Vics took the lead at Oadby, last year's champions, on 11 minutes, when Dixon smashed home a 35-yard shot for his first goal for the club.

Oadby drew level seven minutes before the break, and took the lead 14 minutes from the end.

They made it 3-1 two minutes later when Vics' keeper Hughes let the ball slip from his grasp to a well-placed Oadby player.

It was 4-1 on 83 minutes, and Tiday completed his hat-trick three minutes from the end when he punished a poor clearance.

Knypersley took the lead against Sandwell on 22 minutes from a Stribling header, only for the visitors to make it 1-1 on 35 minutes.

Redgate restored the Vics' lead with a header five minutes before half-time, and Brownsword made it 3-1 early on in the second half.

Redgate grabbed his second on 67 minutes, but Sandwell made it a tense last few minutes with goals on 87 and 88 minutes.
