ROB James and Neil Dutton kept Knypersley's title hopes alive on Saturday by tearing through the Betley batsman.

The pair shared all 10 Betley wickets at the visitors were bowled out for only 114.

Knypersley replied with a winning 115 for seven to collect a vital 19 points from the match.

The result leaves them in third, two points behind Leek and 18 off the leaders Audley.

Betley progressed to 35 before losing their first wicket, thanks to several dropped chances.

They were dismissed in just under three hours, only three players reaching double figures.

Dutton claimed six wickets for only 30 runs, supported by four for 57 from James.

Second team opener Paul Bates and Ross Salmon put on the top partnership of 38, Salmon hitting 28 and Bates 13.

Jon Cumberbatch scored 17, and Chris Barry and James steered Knypersley home.
