A DOUBLE header for Weston CC delivered two draws.

Wood Lane were the visitors on Saturday and their openers laid solid foundations to reach 82 before the first wicket fell.

Steady batting took them to a safe total of 208 for 7 with Lello (2-38) and Sandland (2-15) impressing out of Weston's bowling attack.

In reply, Weston struggled through to net a draw on 102 for 7 with only 38 overs to chase a total always beyond them.

Sunday saw Weston visit struggling Hem Heath and they were soon in trouble at 20 for 4 within 6 overs.

But Malcolm Strong played an outstanding unbeaten 92 to lead a great recovery with Steele (36) and Keane (17) and take the visitors to a creditable 195 for 7.

In reply, Hem Heath struggled with the pace of Lello (4-57) and clung on for a draw at 154 for 8.

Weston entertain league leaders Norton-in-Hales next Saturday.
