GOAL power is what Crewe are looking for ahead of this Saturday's trip to Queens Park Rangers.

Another stern test awaits at Loftus Road as both teams need to start winning.

Without a strike in their league programme so far, the Alex must find their scooring touch as they make their second trip to the capital in two weeks.

Rob Hulse's expected full debut against Blackburn had to be shelved after spraining an ankle in training on Friday but he could possibly recover in time to figure at Loftus Road.

Tait suffered a similar fate after taking the forward role last Saturday and is more of a doubt.

Thus the forward line could depend on if anyone shone against Bury on Tuesday night.

John Grant was a likely starter against the Shakers as Gradi expected to use the match to gauge his fringe players including emerging defender Stephen Foster.

"We've got to give them a go," said Gradi. "Both Foster and Grant are fairly close to the first team.

"That's why I accepted the offer for Foran really because it helps give Foster a chance and he could turn out to be a better player. We need to know if these players are going to be any use to us. There are several at the moment and these two are the leading lights.

"If Grant was to score a hat-trick against Bury, he would be straight up the pecking order."

The impressive Efe Sodje should also check out for QPR after taking a whack on his knee against Blackburn, providing he took a rest against Bury.

Dave Walton is still at least two weeks away from returning to contention and Phil Charnock is still battling with his pelvic injury.

The midfielder had an injection last Thursday which could provide a quick recovery, if not, an operation is likely.

On the commercial side, Crewe are still inviting bookings for anyone interested in booking pre-match meals and facilities of the CHK Executive Suite.

All replica training kits and home and away shirts are now available from the club shop.

Crewe's next home game is against Grimsby on Tuesday night, August 29, KO 7.45pm.
