WINSFORD need to do what they've done all season on Sunday - forget their league form and get cracking in the cups.
The Knight's Grange men go to Malpas for the final of the Quinn Foden Cheshire Shield (1.30pm), but their poor league record shows no sign of improvement.
This was evident on Saturday as Chelford beat them by six runs.
After containing the home side to 142-8, they suffered a batting collapse which left them still in danger of relegation from Meller Braggins One. Mark Skellon took 4-16.
Skellon (36) and Mark Dean (19) contributed to the Winsford reply, but they were reeling on 71-7.
Andy Cooper (37 not out) continued to edge his side nearer to the winning total, but the late order could not cope with M Whitehurst (7-48), who bowled Chelford to victory.
Before Sunday's final, Winsford host Weaverham in the league on Saturday (1.30pm).
