WEAVERHAM Rangers RLFC fought back from 16-0 down to come within two points of a side two divisions above them on Saturday,
They also overcame the loss of winger Glyn Hughes with a dislocated shoulder in the 26-24 home defeat by Rylands.
It was Pete Scott who got Rangers back into the game with a try converted by Dave Gray, but Rylands added another before half-time to go in 20-6 ahead.
Weaverham started the second half with a try by Andrew Butler, converted by Duncan Curphy, and after Rylands scored again, Rangers grabbed the last two tries of the match.
Butler scored a solo try and Steve Campbell also crossed, Curphy converting both.
Rangers will take great confidence from this result and entertain Earlsheaton Rangers, who they beat last week, at Winnington Park on Saturday (2.30pm).
